Theresa’s journey from cancer survivor to CelRevive founder inspires a skincare movement
Theresa Tobin’s path to founding CelRevive traces back to a challenging chapter in her life, one marked not by her work as a formulation chemist but by her personal battle with cancer.
Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021, Theresa confronted the daunting world of cancer treatments, which not only tested her resilience but also exposed her to the limitations of available skincare options. “During my treatment, I realised the skincare products available were either too harsh or ineffective for my sensitive skin,” Theresa recalls. This critical insight came not in the laboratory but within the quiet sterility of a cancer treatment room.
This epiphany ignited a passion in Theresa to enhance skincare for those with sensitive needs, particularly fellow cancer patients. Leveraging her expertise as a seasoned personal care formulation chemist, she envisioned a brand that would prioritise gentleness and effectiveness—hallmarks that were notably absent in products then available on the market.
